Eric Tapia is TuSimple’s Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Eric brings more than twenty years of experience working in corporate finance, controllership, and treasury, as well as working closely with public companies’ C-level and Board of Directors. Before joining TuSimple in 2021 as VP Global Controller, Eric was the VP Controller and CAO of Grainger, Inc., a $13 billion Fortune 200 company (NYSE: GWW), a role held for over 6 years. In this role, Eric led large global teams and was responsible for Grainger’s global financial planning, controllership and tax operations. Before Grainger, Eric was an audit partner with Big-4 firm KPMG. Eric is a CPA and holds an MBA from Duke University.
